First of all, my name is AnVi Nguyen, pleased to meet you. I'm Vietnamese, in case you're wondering, and I live in Isla Vista, California--a once famed party town, now seen (by true clubaholics and party-goers, like myself) as a prostrate county put down by "The Man". You'll probably hear me rant about how terrible the party scene is here from time to time.
I'm twenty, male, straight, single, and not looking. At times I feel restrained by relationships, because the other person doesn't understand the difference between want and need. You don't NEED someone else, although you may WANT someone else. I don't like dependant relationships at all, but I do like it when the other person knows the differences. More likely than not, she won't, so I'm avoiding that kind of commitment right now. I know a lot of girls aren't as desperate as the swarming males out there, so I probably won't have a problem with it anyhow.
Still reading? Amazing. Well, I am a fiend on the dance floor, and I love music. Some people say I dance well; to me, it's intermediate, prepared to anything professional. I feel euphoria when I listen to music, and dancing only makes it easier to release that feeling. I'm one of those 'artsy types', and I'm also logical, thanks to philosophy. I don't like it when people feel intimidated, or when others try to be intimidating to others. It is, to me, the result of insecurity on both sides. I'd rather let it all go, and just have a blast. I do love eating, and I seriously mean it. Eating is great. If I apply myself, I'd be a cook and snap out ten meals a day.
As for music, I mostly listen to European trance, and other sorts of EDM (Electronic Dance Music). Even if I am a 'feeling' person, I absolutely detest Emo music, and the culture. It's too depressing, and in its attempt to be 'deep', has gotten artificial. Vocal trance music is 'feeling' music, but so much more uplifting. I'd rather feel as if I'm floating away, rather than hear someone whine about slit wrists and divorced parents. I'm also open to (mostly) underground rock music, reggae, some hip-hop (some times I feel a lot of rap is trash, but that's just me [hip-hop I can dance to is what I like]), and some classic classic old songs (Singing in the Rain, for example).
You'll notice that this is the same as my first post. This is because I found this part of LJ second. Oh well.
